Excellent price and location, no serious drawbacks
Location for business meeting was great, and proximity to the waterfront is convenient for jogging or walking exercise.
The hotel advertises having kitchinette facilities and a microwave, but there is no cutlery or plates for heating food. There was not even a teaspoon to make a hot drink! I would recommend the hotel with caution that it is bring your own plates and cutlery and take then home again.
the location was good, the room comfortable enough, two days out of four the breakfast was nice.
one day out of four the breakfast was poor, and one day the cafe was shut.
luggage lockers, internet available, good view from 18th floor, location is perfect for the airbus, room is compact.
A strange system to give you a stove and a microwave and nothing more - not even a tea spoon. Were we supposed to bring our own plates and pans and spoons? The compactness of the room meant that it was only used for sleeping; there was no room for sitting. My major complaints are about housekeeping and the lack of supplies like coffee and towels and bed lamps and remote control for tv, and cover for ironing board and extra blankets. We stayed for two separate nights and on the second night we were definitely in the room from hell.
This was my worst experience staying in a hotel. The room was tiny and claustrophobic. The bedding was not sufficient and it felt like there was no soundproofing from the street below. I did not sleep all night and consequently even though I had paid for 2 nights I checked out the next morning and cut my trip short.
Great location, nice little room with good standard of cleanliness, lots of towels. Little kitchenette in room was a bonus.
Lifts always out of order or very slow, cafe has very short hours, in room internet access ate my money, sliding glass door does not open lots of street noise through the night.
The room has a strange smell and the staff was not polit enough
I think this hotel is a very good value for the money. The rooms are an efficient use of space and the view I had from the 17th floor was excellent.
There was a noticeable oder of mildew coming from the shower curtain. I did have to change rooms late in the evening due to the lock on my original room not working. The young lady that assisted me to open the lock and change rooms was very professional, helpful, and made this a quick and seamless event.
It was very central for the trip we weanted to do
it took 3 days to fix the door to the balcony
we liked the closeness to Auckland city and all its services. The room was small but just what you need when you are out all day sight seeing.
Nice staff, excellent location, comfort of the room...
On the arrival of our second stay for one night, Deepak who was on duty for the check-in. On the 5th of July I made the booking for 3 rooms. He told us 'He could not find our booking' then ' He found only ONE room out of three' (because the booking was done online). I gave him the booking reference number + pine code. He said can't find your rooms. Few minutes later he said sorry Madam but I have only one room booked for you not 3! I felt strange because I was confident about the booking I did (for 3 rooms). When I told him let me check my computer... suddenly the 3 rooms were there at the right rate. I don't know what he tried to do... And the last thing is I worked in the hospitality industry. We have to be very careful with customers!!!! I am not saying to lick customers boots, but to be wise with what we say and do...
- location - clean facilities - quiet yet central - affordable - good facilities
The view from the 16th floor. The unit was small but clean and tidy, just right for 1 or 2 night stays and so close to the water front and shopping.
Nothing really except the smell that came from the drain in the shower after a shower and the water around the toilet from the shower. That needs to be looked at. Also the bed mattress was rather hard also one pillow but that one was never used. Car parking was a problem for guests with cars, cost a lot at the car park across the road but then visitors don't always have cars.
The location was ideal for the purpose needed
Because of it's central city location, it was incredibly noisy
Decent bed, tea and coffee provided
It was beautiful but muggy weather in Auckland and the room got a bit hot but being so central when you open the window's the city life is pretty loud. Not a big deal tho, we enjoyed our stay.
